Blackout were an early 80’s PuNk band from West Belfast. They featured Gerard Muldoon drums, Freddie Little lead guitar, Steven Little (aka SJ) bass and Paul Quinn vocals. The band played a set of punk covers by the likes of the Pistols, Clash, Ramones, Exploited, The Damned etc. They played the Pound and the Manhattan on several occasions and youth halls and bars in the west of the city before they split. As their drummer Gerard Muldoon recalls, “We spent more time practicing and getting drunk than playing gigs. We never took ourselves too seriously”.
