This talented duo formed when their previous, highly individual band, Boomchenka split in the mid 1980’s. Kieran McAleese (Vocals & Guitar) and Adrian Edwards (Keyboards & Rhythms), working under the name Gasket River, secured a record contract with English Independent label Silicon Records, after relocating to Eastbourne from their home base at Portstewart. Gasket River released a ten track cassette album on Silicon Records in 1985, entitled The Seam Creaks. You can listen to the title track below. The duo played a number of gigs in the south of England towards the end of 1985, including Eastbourne Pier.
