K.A. (Know Authority) were a Belfast based band with Mark McCormack on drums, Cormac Tohill, vocalsNorman Johnston, bass and John Watt, guitar and synth.

The band relocated to Dublin where they recorded a demo tape, released one track “Work For Children’ on a Scoff Records compilation album entitled ‘Vinyl Verdict” A compilation of New Irish Rock. The album was issued in 1981. K.A. got some good support slots too, including opening for Wah Heat. The band also recorded a session for Dave Fanning’s RTE Rock Show.
