PSEUD CASE

Pseud Case

Pseud Case were formed in Portrush in 1983 by 3 ex members of the pop reggae group International Rescue, namely Andy Thurston (vocals), Andy Malcolm (guitar) and Niall (PPB) Brolly (drums). They were joined by John Marchini (bass) (later to play with That Petrol Emotion) and Terry Hunter. Come the time for the band to “play out” they had scaled down their numbers to become an instrumental 3 piece band. Most pieces of music were by and large almost totally improvised usually around a guitar riff or a bass line. The band played various gigs around the north coast triangle area. The above photograph shows them playing in The Lismara Hotel in Portrush circa 1984.
