Scorched Earth were an early 80's hardcore anarcho punk act from Belfast. Famously once described by John Peel as "the fastest band in Ireland", they were a popular live act on the local gig circuit. The band were Cormac 'Buzz' O'Briain - vocals, Tina Begley - vocals, Pete O'Hagan - guitar, Stevie McKeever - bass and Bri McSwiggan on drums.

Scorched Earth made one recording for a hunt saboteurs benefit album which was sadly never finished and the master tapes are collecting dust in the Warzone collective archive. Scorched Earth performed one tour of England with Pink Turds in Space before disbanding.
