The Shameless Hussies were formed in Derry in the late 70’s and were Paddy Doherty singer, Mickey Griffiths drums, Kenny King guitar and Charlie Manson on bass. Paddy Doherty recalls the band’s philosophy “Our main aim was to fill the ears of the audience with a certain type of noise that we hoped would make their eyes bleed”.

The band’s songs varied in length depending on how the night was going and the audience attending. Their main influences were Pere Ubu, Can, The Pop Group and Captain Beefheart. The above Shameless Hussies photograph was taken at the Little Theatre, Derry 1979.
