The Escorts formed in the Glengormley area in November 1978. The initial line up included Marty Lewis on drums, who was subsequently replace by Gary Millar. The rest of the band were brothers Rich (Richard) Pelan on guitar and John Pelan guitar/vocals with Tufty on bass. They gigged locally with original songs such as live favourite ‘Let Me Be Your Escort’, before dissolving a year later.
