The Hickeys were a short-lived band that featured ex Moondogs Jackie Hamilton bass and vocals, Gerry McCandless on guitar and Billy Doherty of the Undertones on drums. Phil Coyle on keyboards completed the line up. Phil also played with Jackie in a band called Waterfall, with the legendary Raymond O’Doherty and Snowy McKnight.

The band played a sprinkling of gigs around Derry and recorded some demo tapes. They also made one memorable TV appearance on RTE in 1982 where Jackie and Billy were interviewed after performing “You Disappeared”. This footage can be viewed below.
