THE NAUSEATORS

The Nauseators were a four piece Belfast band based in the Cavehill area of the city. They formed in 1978 and split around 18 months later. The band were Ralph Malph vocals, Alan Insane guitar, Sam Thompson bass and Dave Dilemna drums. Initially they played gigs at their local youth club (where they rehearsed too) and later played gigs at the Harp Bar. They set consisted of original compositions such as Suicide, Football Hooligans and Dead End Belfast. They also covered Pretty Vacant, Suzi Is A Headbanger and Borstal Breakout. However, the band is probably best remembered for their hilarious cover of Travolta / Newton-John’s Summer Nights hit from the movie Grease.
