Tilt hailed from the North of Belfast in the early 1980’s. They were John Cartwright (guitar / vocals), Michael Begley (bass / backing vocals), Brian McDonnell (drums).

Tilt gigged all over the Provence at venues such as Queens Student Union, Belfast, Jordanstown Student Union, the Vintage in Enniskillen, The Venue in Derry, Crescent Arts Centre etc.

The band recorded a couple of demo tapes that included original songs such as ‘Warrior’, ‘Take Me’, ‘Silence in the Streets’, and ‘Lucinda May’, but unfortunately they never got to issue an official release and split in the mid 1980’s.

Bass player Michael was tragically killed in a road traffic collision in 1993.
