| Urban Clearway formed in Rostrevor, Co, Down in 1977, the year of punk!
The band were Sean McNulty, vocals, Dermot McQuaid, bass, Gary Parr, guitar and Vincy Mulhern, drums.
Urban Clearway essentially started out as a punk covers band, although they soon progressed to include their own originals in their set, with tracks such as ‘’ B4” (an instrumental), “Burn Away”, “Daylight”, “Life's A Gun”, “Living For You” and “Sequel” in their set. They gigged regularly in Town halls and Youth Clubs around Newry, Killyleagh, Rathfriland, and Mayobridge. They eventually folded in 1981.
