Short lived, early 80’s north coast band that emerged from the ashes of The Spare Mentals and The Glass Shadows.

They band were Rodney Orpheus Guitar & vocals, John Modern-Day (M) bass, Alan Campbell (Womble) Synth, Toto (Tommy Kealey) percussion and a drum machine named Eric!

Womble recalls, “When we were the Glass Shadows we had a rehearsal room in Coleraine which we called the Elephant’s Graveyard”.

The band played original compositions such as “The Real Truth”, “Snow”, “The Finishing Touch” & “I Save The World”. The only cover version they played was the Velvet Underground’s “Sister Ray”. A live recording of several of these tracks, recorded via someone’s Ghetto Blaster at Beachcombers survives.

Tommy Kealey later went on to play with International rescue for a period of time.
